BOW slated Sept. 23-25
Openings remain for the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program Sept. 23-25 at Rock Springs 4-H Center outside Junction City.
Now in its 13th year, BOW has given women the chance to learn a variety of outdoor skills, from hunting and archery, to fishing and float tubing, to mountain biking and wild-game cooking.
This year will be no different with more than 35 classes to choose from.
Participants can try their hand at knot tying, test their shooting skills with a laser system or go for the Coleman BOW Games during some of the mini-sessions.
Designed primarily for women, this program is an opportunity for anyone age 18 or older who has never tried outdoor activities but wants to learn or someone who just enjoys the camaraderie of others who enjoy the outdoors.
BOW provides the equipment and supplies. At a cost of $180 for cabins, $175 for tent lodging, it’s an exciting getaway in a beautiful location.
