Petty, De Soto topple Louisburg

? Amy Petty scored 23 points, and Kira Gonzalez added 15, leading the De Soto girls basketball squad to a 63-56 victory over Louisburg on Saturday night in the championship game of the Louisburg Tournament.

The Wildcats only led by four points after three quarters, but they outscored Louisburg 18-11 in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Jackie Goleman added seven points for the Wildcats.

De Soto will play host Monday to Wellsville.

Atchison County 60, Oskaloosa 47

Winchester — Amy Hale led ACCHS with 19 points in the third-place game in the Jefferson County North girls basketball tournament.

Megan Reed led Oskie with 12 points, and April Kruse and Whitney McGinnis had eight each.

Reed and McGinnis were named to the all-tournament team.

Perry-Lecompton 58, McLouth 37

Winchester — Megan Blosser scored 18 points, and Casey Amerine added nine for Perry-Lecompton in a seventh-place game victory over McLouth in the Jefferson North tournament.

Nine Kaws scored.

Stephanie Thompson led McLouth with eight points, and Leigh Anna Thompson and Holly Kitterman added seven each.

Blosser was named to the all-tournament team.
