No. 7 Baylor escapes Okie State, 67-65

? Steffanie Blackmon hit two free throws with less than a second remaining, and No. 7 Baylor fended off Oklahoma State, 67-65, Saturday.

Blackmon was fouled under the basket with 0.9 seconds remaining and made both shots from the foul line. Oklahoma State’s ensuing inbounds pass went out of bounds and Baylor ran out the final few ticks.

Emily Niemann scored 19 points, Sophia Young added 16, and Blackmon finished with 13 for Baylor (15-3, 5-2 Big 12 Conference), which appeared to be in control with a seven-point lead and 61/2 minutes to play.

Chameka Scott scored underneath to give the Bears a 63-61 lead, and Young stretched the lead to four with a right-hander in the lane.

Conder hit a jumper, then knocked the ball off Chelsea Whitaker in a scrum with 40 seconds left. Catherria Turner hit a driving layup to tie the game with 18 seconds left, and Baylor ran down the clock for a final shot before Blackmon was fouled.

Nina Stone finished with 20 points for the Cowgirls (6-11, 1-6), who haven’t won back-to-back games in over a year.

No. 15 Texas 71, Missouri 52

Columbia, Mo. — Jamie Carey scored 17 of her 22 points in the first half, and Texas tied a season high with nine three-pointers to beat Missouri.

Tiffany Jackson added 22 points and seven rebounds for the Longhorns (12-6, 5-2 Big 12), who have won 11 of 12 all-time against Missouri. Jackson scored at least 20 points for the fourth time in six games and the sixth time this season.

Texas, which shot 50 percent from behind the arc, also made nine three-pointers in a 73-56 defeat of New Mexico on Dec. 4.

Christelle N’Garsanet led Missouri with 15 points, and EeTisha Riddle scored 12. Missouri (7-12, 1-7) has lost seven straight games.

The win gave Texas its 100th Big 12 victory. Only Texas Tech, with 103 conference wins, has more Big 12 victories.

No. 16 KSU 81, Colorado 70

Boulder, Colo. — Kendra Wecker had 28 points and 10 rebounds, and Claire Coggins added a career-high 25 points to lead Kansas State. Wecker, the Big 12’s leading scorer at 21 points a game, was 7-for-10 with 21 second-half points. Coggins had five three-pointers for Kansas State (16-3, 7-1 Big 12 Conference), winners of seven straight. Jasmina Ilic led Colorado (8-10, 1-6) with 21 points. Veronica Johns-Richardson had 20 points for the Buffaloes. Kansas State saw its lead cut to 53-51 on a basket by Jackie McFarland midway through the half. Kansas State went on an 11-0 run, six provided by two three-pointers by Coggins to go ahead 64-51.

No. 18 Iowa State 73, Oklahoma 60

Norman, Okla. — Anne O’Neil scored 21 points to lead Iowa State past Oklahoma. Iowa State (16-2, 6-1), the best three-point shooting team in the Big 12 conference, made 13-of-27 shots from behind the arc. Mary Fox led the three-point barrage with four and finished with 14 points. Lyndsey Medder had 13 points, including three threes. Erin Higgins and Dionnah Jackson led the Sooners (11-7, 3-4) with 16 points each.
