Earl Arthur Sommer, Belton, Mo.

? Services for Earl Arthur Sommer, 71, Belton, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Open Door Bible Church in Belton. Inurnment will be in State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.

Mr. Sommer died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at his home.

He was born May 22, 1933, in Lawrence, Kan. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a self-employed plumber in Ottawa, Kan., before moving to the Kansas City area 20 years ago.

Mr. Sommer married Carlotta Lola on Jan. 12, 1989. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Frank, Lawrence; a daughter, Lisa Ann Burlingham, Ashland, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Suzanne M. Gay, Belton; a sister, Virginia Stephens, Lawrence; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church before the service.
