Kansas University senior catcher Sean Richardson, junior shortstop Ritchie Price and junior outfielder Matt Baty have been selected to the Big12Baseball.com Preseason All-Big 12 squad. They were named to the second team.

Richardson, a native of Vista, Calif., was named team MVP and second-team All-Big 12 last season. Richardson led the Jayhawks with 69 RBIs and had a .332 batting average and 12 home runs.

Price, of San Luis Obispo, Calif., heading into his third consecutive season as the team’s starting shortstop, finished fourth on the team with a .339 average and led the team with four triples while driving in 47 runs.

Baty became the first Jayhawk ever selected first-team All-Big 12 after he hit .344 last season. The Wichita native scored a team-high 62 runs for the KU offense, which finished tops in the league with a .316 team average.
