Senior Doug Zimmerman suffered a stroke in the first week of practice and since then, the Pirates have dedicated their 6-1 start to him. Piper head coach David Hall says his team has even written Zimmerman’s number on their shoes. The Pirates will take on the Chargers Friday night at Piper.
