Wilbur Rex Attebery
No services for Wilbur Rex Attebery, 64, Lawrence, are planned.
He died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was cremated.
He was born Dec. 14, 1940, in McFalls, Mo., the son of Walter Rex and Maydean Barnett Attebery. He graduated from high school in McFalls.
Mr. Attebery worked at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant. He later worked in the Facilities Operations at Kansas University for 24 years and retired in 2002.
He married Edith M. Smith on June 8, 1990, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Cathy Attebery, Lawrence, and Debbie Bryant, Eudora; six stepchildren; five grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; two great-grandsons; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
A son, Rickey, and a stepgrandson died earlier.
