Jessie L. Walker

Mrs. Walker died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Jesse Duckworth and Lucille Logan McKoy.

Survivors include her husband, Nick Walker, of the home; her mother, Leavenworth; four sons, Kenneth and David Payne Jr., Lawrence, Ronald Payne, Texas, and Tyrone Duckworth, Overland Park; seven daughters, Angela and Evelina Payne, both of Lawrence, Anita Payne and Marchetia McDaniel, both of Leavenworth, Yvonnie Cook and Addie Cook, both of Lawrence, and Bertha Duckworth, Olathe; three stepsons, Ricky, Danny and Douglas Walker; four stepdaughters, Marsha, Debra, Vanessa and Evelyn Walker; two brothers, Nathaniel White, Minneapolis, and Harlan Duckworth, Leavenworth; four sisters, Helen Roberts, Lillie Johnson, Dollie Dougherty and Jane Lane, all of Leavenworth; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church before the services.
