Comedian to perform routine in Topeka
Jerry Seinfeld spent years honing his craft and, in 1987, starred in his own HBO special, “Jerry Seinfeld’s Stand-up Confidential,” before “Seinfeld” began its run in 1990. Following “Seinfeld,” he went to Broadway’s Broadhurst Theater, where his sold-out performances of “I’m Telling You for the Last Time” culminated in his HBO special of the same title.
Seinfeld continues his career as a stand-up comic performing sold-out shows across North America with an appearance 7 p.m. Thursday at the Topeka Performing Arts Center. For tickets, which range in price from $46 to $76, call (785) 234-4545.

Remember December when Allen Fieldhouse was buzzing with Kansas University men’s and women’s basketball? That was then, this is now. The only action in the fieldhouse this week will occur Wednesday night when the KU women play host to Iowa State University. Game time will be 7:05 p.m.

Gov. Sebelius to give her vision for state
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius will give her State of the State address at 7 p.m. today in the House chamber. The theme is “A Vision for a Healthy Kansas.”
She plans to focus on themes and broad proposals in her address, before briefing lawmakers and the media Tuesday on her budget proposal for state government.

School’s chili feed to honor MLK Jr.
New York School is offering a chili feed Tuesday honoring the life of Martin Luther King Jr. It is not intended to raise money for the school, but simply to celebrate King.
The 18th annual event will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the school gym, 936 N.Y.
