Sappington services
Services for Betty Jane Sappington, 82, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
Mrs. Sappington died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at Pioneer Ridge Care Center.
She was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Atchison, the daughter of Ralph and Berniece Lewis Bomhoff. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1940.
Mrs. Sappington belonged to Chapter IK PEO and First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
She married Floyd E. Sappington on June 13, 1945. He died in January 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Suellen Freudorfer, Topeka, and Jane Garvin, Lawrence; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Humane Society or Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of the mortuary.
