Lydia M. Lawson

? Services for Lydia M. Lawson, 95, Melbourne, Fla., will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Eudora Methodist Church. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.

Mrs. Lawson died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at her home.

She was born July 26, 1909, in Eudora, the daughter of George L. and Nellie Eva Smith Catlin. She moved in 1976 to St. Joseph, Mo., and later to Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree in education from Wichita State University.

Mrs. Lawson was a liberal arts counselor at WSU for 14 years. She was a member of Wyatt Park Christian Church.

She was married to Eugene James McFarland, who died earlier. She later married R. Cecil Lawson, who died in 1999.

Survivors include a son, David E. McFarland, Tampa, Fla.; and a daughter, Linda K. Mitts, Melbourne.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. today at the church.
