Bernice M. Niedringhaus, Lawrence
Services for Bernice M. Niedringhaus, 92, Lawrence, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Additional services and burial will be later in St. Louis.
Mrs. Niedringhaus died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at Eudora Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Walhalla, S.C., the daughter of Jesse Barron and Kate Lusk McMahan.
She taught elementary school for 19 years at Oakwood School in St. Louis. She retired and moved to South Carolina before moving to Lawrence in 2002.
Mrs. Niedringhaus was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lawrence.
She married Walter P. Niedringhaus on Nov. 3, 1945, in Spartanburg, S.C. He died Feb. 29, 1964.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Teske, Lawrence, Janet Wiltse, Lyons, Neb., and Judy Grauer, St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, R. Wallace McMahan, Fairview, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends after the service Tuesday night at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Evangelical Lutheran Church in America World Hunger Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
