Ermagine Cloe ‘Erma’ Huff, McLouth

Graveside services for Ermagine Cloe “Erma” Huff, 81, McLouth, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Mrs. Huff died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Hickory Pointe Care Center in Oskaloosa, after a long illness.

She was born July 23, 1923, in Sparta, Mo., the daughter of James Ross and Gracie Venetta Gann McCoy. Mrs. Huff graduated from Belle Plaine High School in Belle Plaine in 1942. She had lived in the McLouth area for 50 years.

Mrs. Huff was a nurse and medical aide at the Jefferson County Geriatric Center in Winchester for 22 years before she retired.

She also served as a volunteer at the Oskaloosa Public Library. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Belle Plaine.

She married Albert Cecil Huff in June 1946 in Belle Plaine. He died June 22, 1975.

Survivors include a daughter, Karla Huff, Lawrence; a son, Donald Huff, Lawrence; a brother, Jim McCoy, Clearwater; a twin sister, Emogene Gifford, Belle Plaine; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa is in charge of the arrangements.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the organization of the Donor’s Choice in care of Barnett Funeral Home.
