Services for Robert James “Bob” Shutt, 75, Lawrence will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Shutt died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence.
He was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Albuquerque, N.M., the son of Charles Edward and Elma Alftin Shutt. He attended grade school in Clay Center and graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence.
Mr. Shutt served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1951 to 1953. He worked in maintenance at K-Mart Distribution Plant in Lawrence and retired in 1994. He was a member of American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post 14, and the CB Club.
Survivors include a brother, Felix Shutt, Lawrence; and a sister, Freda Stalkfleet, Lawrence.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday before the service at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorials to Mid-American Hospice or Eudora United Methodist Church Building Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
