Seabury girls stumble
CENTRALIA ? Seabury Academy’s girls basketball season came to an abrupt halt against Class 1A juggernaut Centralia in a 96-27 loss Thursday night in 1A regional second-round play.
Senior Laura Frizell, playing her final game as a Seahawk, scored 17 points.
“I’d say for Laura Frizell, she really went out with a bang,” Seabury coach Nick Taylor said. “She really played well all year long.”
Taylor lauded the Seahawks’ turnaround. Seabury finished 9-12 after winning just one game last season.
“I can’t be more happy with my team, the way they played this year. I really appreciate all the effort they’ve given me. They made tremendous improvement every day.”
