Wilma Gene Larkins, Concordia

? Services for Wilma Gene Larkins, 81, Concordia, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel in Concordia. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia.

Mrs. Larkins died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at Salina Regional Health Center.

She was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Clifton, the daughter of Floyd and Madge Brown Lisher. She graduated from Agenda High School and Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She moved to Concordia in 1958.

Mrs. Larkins was a schoolteacher in Agenda and a secretary-clerk at Roberts Dairy in Concordia. She also was a homemaker and farm wife.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 588 Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1428 and A.A.U.W.

She married Willard Larkins. He died earlier.

Survivors include a son, David Larkins, Lawrence; a daughter, Lynnette Caldwell, Salina; and three granddaughters.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
