De Soto girls fall, 42-36
LOUISBURG ? De Soto High’s Amy Petty scored a game-high 16 points on an injured ankle, but the Wildcats couldn’t catch Louisburg, falling 42-36, in girls basketball Thursday night.
De Soto, which fell to 12-6 and will play Central Heights in a make-up contest Saturday, stormed back in the second half, but couldn’t come any closer than four down with 1:33 to play.
