Dennis F. Evans Sr., Independence, Mo.

Oskaloosa ? Graveside services for Dennis F. Evans Sr., 46, Independence, Mo., will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery, northwest of Oskaloosa.

Mr. Evans died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, in Independence, Mo.

He was born Jan. 29, 1959, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Lois Jean Evans. He attended Northeast High School and Assembly of God Church, both in Kansas City, Mo.

Mr. Evans worked as a certified nurse’s assistant at Cherokee Lodge in Oskaloosa.

He married Melody Lynn Farmer on June 4, 1977, in Kansas City, Mo. They divorced.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis F. Jr., Independence, Mo., and Shawn L., Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, John Taylor, Ozawkie, and Donald Taylor, Lawrence; six stepbrothers, Victor Berry, Springfield, Mo., Leonard C. McHardie Jr., William McHardie, both of Iowa, Pete McHardie, Perry, Floyd McHardie, Atchison, and Wesley Brown, Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Penny Taylor, Lawrence; two stepsisters, Nora Berry, Springfield, Mo., and Christina Irizarry, Atchison; and two grandchildren.
