Bulls serious about winning
Hinrich scores 28, but sprains two fingers
Toronto ? Donyell Marshall thinks the Chicago Bulls finally are taking basketball seriously.
“They are not goofing around anymore, thinking everything is a joke,” Marshall said of his former team after the Bulls reached a season high for points in a 121-115 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.
Kirk Hinrich had 28 points, and Ben Gordon scored 15 in the fourth quarter.
“They have finally learned the game,” said Marshall, who was traded from Chicago to Toronto last season. “When I was with them, everything was a laughing joke. It was all about who got dunked on and who they dunked on. Now, it’s about winning.”
Eddy Curry added 24 points, and Luol Deng had 20 for the Bulls, who have won three straight and 16 of 21. Six players reached double figures in scoring for the Bulls, who shot 58 percent.
But Curry wasn’t happy they allowed a season high in points.
“This is not the way to win when we pride ourselves on our defense,” Curry said.
The Bulls improved to 26-23, good for sixth in the Eastern Conference. They went 23-59 last season.
Hinrich went 6-for-8 from behind the three-point arc, and Chicago finished a season-best 11-for-15 on threes.

Chicago's Kirk Hinrich (12) shoots against Toronto's Rafer Alston. Hinrich scored 28 points in the Bulls' 121-115 victory Wednesday night in Toronto.
Hinrich left the game with 2:50 to go because of a severe sprain of his fourth and fifth fingers on his right hand after he jammed them while swiping at the ball. His availability for the rookie-sophomore game at All-Star weekend is in doubt.
Chris Bosh had 28 points for the Raptors, who have lost five of six.
“There wasn’t much defense in this game,” Bosh said.
Deng capped a 13-2 run with a three-pointer to give Chicago a 113-100 lead with 2:59 left. Toronto cut it to eight, but Gordon, a rookie with a growing reputation for clutch play, made a three-pointer to give Chicago a 116-105 lead with 1:35 remaining.
