Free State High’s boys basketball team tops the Class 6A rankings of the Kansas Basketball Coaches Assn. for the fifth straight week.

The Firebirds (14-2) bounced back from a two-point loss to Lawrence High with victories last week over Shawnee Mission West and Leavenworth.

In the girls KBCA rankings, Ottawa is No. 4 in Class 5A, while Baldwin ranks seventh and Tonganoxie eighth in Class 4A.
