Oskie falls in overtime

? After losing the lead with about a minute to play in regulation, Oskaloosa High’s boys basketball squad was outscored 11-4 in the extra period in a 53-46 loss Saturday to Jefferson North.

Oskaloosa had a chance to win at the buzzer, but the Bears’ guarded shot was off the mark.

“We felt like we should have won it in regulation,” Oskie coach Scott Whaley said. “We had chances to win, and they had a kid hit a big shot at the end of the game to tie it up.”

Oskaloosa (6-9) will play host to Shawnee Maranatha on Tuesday.
