Vinland Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vinland Methodist Church.

Hostess will be Mariann Bradley. Paula Johnson will give the lesson “Heart Healthy.” Members will answer roll call by giving a Valentine memory.

Clinton Eagles 4-H Club met Jan. 3 at the Wingert’s barn. The meeting was called to order by Haven Bouton, president. Katie Gaston called roll, which members answered by naming their favorite 4-H project.

Lindsey Fangman and Kasey Waite led the group in singing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat.” Katie read several thank-you notes for the fruit baskets the club handed out at the December meeting.

Kirstyn Heine gave the treasurer’s report. Simon Fangman gave the reporter’s report. Donald Baldwin gave the county council report.

Michelle Colgan gave a parliamentarian lesson on how members should stand to answer roll call and speak during a meeting. Morgan Manger gave the historian report. Danielle Hodges announced there would be a balloon race for recreation at the end of the meeting.

Lanaea Heine gave the leaders report. Pat Hubbell asked for a list of people wanting to participate in the County Club Day skit. Lisa Gaston gave a report on T-shirts. The budget for 2005 was presented. The club voted to accept the budget. Michelle Colgan gave a talk on her National 4-H Congress trip to Atlanta.
