Richard Andrew Lagomarcino, 81, Lawrence, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community. Graveside services will be private.

Mr. Lagomarcino was born Jan. 24, 1924, in San Diego, the son of Andrew Lagomarcino and Beatrice Bosold Lagomarcino.

Mr. Lagomarcino was a systems analyst for Kansas City Southern Railroad. He also was a regular columnist for Mensa magazine.

He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mission. He also was a member of the Overland Park American Legion and was an honorary member of the Kansas City Merchant Marines.

Mr. Lagomarcino married Rosemary E. McVay. She survives, in Mission.Other survivors include a daughter, Laurie Marlowe, Lawrence.
