Baylor survives Texas Tech

? Sophia Young scored 24 points and had 10 rebounds, leading No. 8 Baylor past No. 12 Texas Tech, 52-49, Saturday night.

It marked the 30th straight game that Young had scored in double figures. Steffanie Blackmon had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Bears (17-3, 7-2 Big 12 Conference), who won in Lubbock for the first time since 1982.

It was Baylor coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson’s first victory in Lubbock in five outings.

Erin Grant scored 11 points, and Chesley Dabbs added nine for Tech (16-4, 7-2), which led 20-19 at halftime. Each team posted a season-low for first-half points.

No. 19 Iowa State 73, No. 13 Texas 69

Ames, Iowa — Megan Ronhovde hit a tiebreaking three-pointer with 28 seconds left, and Anne O’Neil followed with four straight free throws to lift Iowa State (18-2, 8-1).

No. 15 Kansas State 66, Oklahoma State 55

Manhattan — Laurie Koehn scored 13 points for Kansas State (17-4, 8-2). Kendra Wecker added 11 points and 11 rebounds for her 45th career double-double. Nina Stone scored 17 to lead Oklahoma State (6-13, 1-8).

Texas A&M 72, Colorado 62

College Station, Texas — Morenike Atunrase scored a game-high 19 points, and Erica Roy recorded a double-double for Texas A&M. Roy had 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Charlette Castile added 13 points for Texas A&M (12-8, 3-7).
