Wildcats unveil signees

? Free State High’s Jeremy Bustamante and Danny Pike are among a group of 15 who have committed to play football at Baker University, coach Mike Grossner announced.

Bustamante, a 2004 FSHS graduate, is a 5-foot-11, 240-pound defensive lineman. Pike is a 6-2, 200-pound linebacker.

Three of BU’s signees have been selected to play in the Kansas Shrine Bowl on July 31 in Emporia — Baldwin offensive lineman Kyle Ruona, defensive lineman Andrew Patch of Shawnee Mission West and wide receiver James Hensley of Rose Hill.

Eight of the 15 players are from out of state, including four from the San Diego, Calif., area.
