Paul Kempf, a standout back on Veritas Christian’s eight-man football team last fall, will sign a letter of intent today with Sterling College.

Kempf, a 6-foot, 170-pounder, scored 24 touchdowns for the 7-3 Eagles. He rushed for 1,020 yards and caught 53 passes for 701 yards.

Kempf, who spent his sophomore and junior seasons at Lawrence High, also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and completed six passes for 196 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Kempf had 73 tackles and six interceptions.
