Ruby Lee Shaw, Mound City

? Services for Ruby Lee Shaw, 86, Mound City, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Pleasanton. Burial will be in Pleasanton Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaw died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Medicalodge Nursing Home in Fort Scott.

She was born May 29, 1918, in Butler, Mo., the daughter of Earl and Edna Boren Gatlin.

Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of First Christian Church in Pleasanton, where she taught Sunday school and was involved with the choir. She was also a member of Linn County Historical Society and helped form Linn County Concern.

She married Chester “Chet” Shaw in 1938 in Linn County. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Ernest Lee Shaw, Lawrence; three sisters, Laveta Ward, Cheney, Thelma Arbogast, Kansas City, Kan., and Arlene Stark, San Jose, Calif.; and a grandson.

A daughter, Cora Lee, died earlier.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
