Toy maker Mattel Inc. will pay its deposed Barbie and Hot Wheels chief $6.9 million in severance, the company said in a regulatory filing this week.

Former Mattel Brands President Matthew Bousquette will get $5.4 million – three times his annual salary – as required by his employment agreement, as well as a consulting fee of $750,000 annually for two years.
