Odd donations found in Salvation Army kettles

? Most people drop spare change into those red Salvation Army kettles. Some people put in dollar bills or checks. Now someone has apparently dropped some gold teeth in.

A worker sorting collections in Pennsylvania on Thursday found a pair of golden molars in a plastic bag inside a kettle, the nonprofit said.

“I have no clue what we are going to do with them,” said Maj. Darren Mudge of the nonprofit organization in York County. “It’s a wonderful gesture, I guess.”

It’s not uncommon for the Salvation Army to receive odd donations in its kettles. In the past two weeks, the York chapter alone has also received 18 gold rings.

“I think people have picked up on it, and now it’s a trend,” Mudge said.
