Wichita ? Marcus Holman scored 14 points, and Andrew Bartlow added 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead Veritas Christian to a 41-37 high school boys basketball victory Friday night over Wichita Christian.

Wichita Christian cut a 15-point Veritas lead to three points late in the game. Mark Randtke hit a free throw with two seconds left to put Veritas up by four.

“We held them off and were able to control the ball toward the end and hit our free throws late,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. “Our defense really played well. It was a big win for us.”

Veritas (7-1) will play Wichita Word of Life at 1 p.m. today.
