¢ Beals, Riley Named: Grinnell College cross country runners Adam Beals and Justin Riley, both from Lawrence, were named to the Midwest Conference autumn all-academic team.

¢ KVSA Clinic: Kaw Valley Soccer Assn. will conduct a winter skills clinic Saturday and Sunday at Sport 2 Sport. Sessions are set for 8 a.m., noon and 4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday. The camp, coached by Aaron Siebert, will also be used to evaluate players for spring premier teams. For information, call 760-3536.

¢ Hoopsters Champs: Lawrence Hoopsters seventh-grade boys won last weekend’s Johnson County Holiday Classic. Team members are Nate Davis, Chris Gaston, Austin Hoag, Jake Johnson, Ross Johnson, Alex Laughlin, Michael Lembeck, Tim Lewis, Dylan Perry, Matt Wade and Garrett Wagner. Coaches were Mark Lembeck and Dale Johnson.

¢ Kansas Baseball Camp: Pre-registration will be taken through next Thursday for the Jayhawk Holiday Skills youth baseball camp Dec. 27-29 at Anschutz Pavilion. Day and overnight camping is being offered. For information, call 864-7907.

¢ Reaney Leads Aquahawks: Emma Reaney paced the Lawrence Aquahawks youth swimming and diving club with seven gold medals at the Level I state swim championships last weekend in Wichita. The Aquahawks’ Ashley Robinson captured four races, Caitlin Gallagher three and Molly Albrecht two. Chloe Portela and Chase Torgerson won one event apiece.

¢ Dodgeball Deadline: Next Wednesday is the deadline for entering a team in the city’s adult winter dodgeball league. For information, call 832-7920 or go to www.lprd.org.

¢ LGA Level 7 Wins: Lawrence Gymnastics Academy won the Level 7 division of its Winter Cup meet last Friday as Jacqueline Zaitz and Drew Davis finished third and fourth respectively in the all-around. Davis won the vault and floor exercise. At Level 8, Rachael Schaffer finished third in four events.
