St. Marys ? Mark Randtke scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in Veritas Christian School’s 65-58 boys basketball victory over St. Mary’s Academy on Tuesday night.

Marcus Holman and Andrew Bartlow contributed 13 points apiece. Bartlow had 10 rebounds, and Casey Woods had five assists for Veritas (6-1).

“We played really tough defense,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. His team committed 16 turnovers after suffering 30 in the last game. “We slowed them down. We got back on defense, did a pretty good job stopping ball penetration.

“We played better as a team offensively. It shows in we had several guys pick up quite a few assists.”

Veritas will travel Friday to Wichita Christian.
