Break doesn’t bother Baylor

? Fifth-ranked Baylor picked up right where it left off after an 11-day break for final exams with a 72-36 victory over McNeese State on Tuesday night.

“Everybody got a lot of minutes, the main players got a lot of rest, and we won,” coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson said.

Abiola Wabara scored 15 points, and Jessica Morrow added 14 to lead Baylor as the defending national champions extended their winning streak to 28 games.

Sophia Young added 13 points, and Jordan Davis had 10 for the Bears (8-0).

Baylor dominated the inside game, outscoring the Cowgirls (3-5) 46-24 in the paint.

Regina Spivey paced McNeese State (3-5) with 11 points.
