Shockers roll past Dons

? Kyle Wilson matched his career high with 24 points, including a key three-pointer, and Wichita State won its fourth straight with a 75-67 victory over San Francisco on Tuesday night.

Sean Ogirri added 20 points for the Shockers (7-1), whose only loss is to nationally ranked Illinois.

Alan Wiggins scored 19 points to lead the Dons (2-5), who were unable to follow up on last Saturday’s 90-72 victory over Texas Tech. Armondo Surratt added 16 and Jerome Gumbs had 12.

The Shockers made their first trip to San Francisco since a 47-46 loss on Dec, 16, 1958. The two schools have played nine times, but often in tournaments. Last year in Kansas, the Shockers limited San Francisco to 15 first-half points en route to a 65-55 victory.

The Dons are in a stretch in which they play nine of their first 11 games at home, while the Shockers opened a three-game road trip and don’t play at home again for another two weeks.

The Dons were up, 29-19 after an 11-3 run midway through the first half during which Wiggins brought the crowd to their feet with a forceful slam duck.
