Del Shankel, Kansas University’s acting chancellor, officially endorsed portions of a report sent to the Kansas Board of Regents this past April, bringing KU one step closer to establishing its own free speech policy. KU long had been working on its own guidelines to deal with appearances and utterances of individuals and groups on the campus.
