Kansas University’s football team knew last weekend that its 24-21 overtime win over Iowa State secured KU its second bowl game in three seasons. But on Sunday afternoon wide speculation that Kansas would head to Texas, became official as Jayhawk coach Mark Mangino announced his team would indeed play in the Fort Worth Bowl. Kansas (6-5 overall, 3-5 Big 12) will take on the Houston Cougars (6-5 overall, 4-4 Conference USA) at 7 p.m. Dec. 23, 2005 from Amon G. Carter Stadium on the TCU campus. The game will be televised by ESPN (Sunflower Broadband Channel 33).
