Ki-Aikido expert to teach 10th seminar
Nationally prominent instructor David Shaner will visit and teach Ki-Aikido classes today through Saturday at the Kansas Ki Society’s Lawrence school, 619 E. Eighth St.
Shaner is a high-level instructor of the Ki-Aikido style, holding a seventh-degree black belt in the art. Mr. Shaner also holds a high-level rank in the related practice of Shin-Shin Toitsu-do or Ki Development. He has practiced Ki-Aikido for more than 36 years and has studied personally with Koichi Tohei, the Founder of the Ki-Aikido style, including a period as a live-in student at the style’s headquarters in Japan.
