A 22-year-old Lawrence man has been charged with lewd and lascivious behavior for allegedly masturbating at a computer terminal in Kansas University's Anschutz Science Library.

A 23-year-old KU student called campus police after seeing the incident, which happened shortly after 11 a.m. Oct. 26. The suspect, who lists an address in Jayhawker Towers, 1603 W. 15th St., was booked into jail Wednesday, released on his own recognizance and ordered to appear in court Dec. 20.

Dude, that's embarrassing. How sad is it that one can no longer wack off without registering as a sex offender? It's these type of crimes that shouldn't require registration. People see his name on a list and they go crazy, assuming he's a freaking rapist or kid molester. The sex offender system is getting out of control. I'm not sure I can handle the lynch mob mentality anymore.

First of all, whacking off in public is not acceptable, period. Secondly, the sex offender registry in Kansas list the type of offense that the person got in trouble for.

Third, would YOU want to sit in that bus station now?

Bus station? Read that story one more time, Ragingbear. He was in the Library at a COMPUTER terminal. No, I wouldn't want to be sitting at that computer terminal, though.

That is just funny. Wrong, but a little funny.

"...at a computer terminal..." You're not supposed to do that? Really? Then why are the terminals equipped with mice? If that's not an invitation to one-handed operation, I don't know what is.

Dude, If you need access to computer porn, don't get yourself in trouble by doing it in a public place; heck, use my computer if you want; nobody'll call the police here.
