The Palmyra 4-H Club met July 24 for a club tour, potluck supper and business meeting.

The meeting was called to order by Wesley Callahan, president. Members answered roll call by naming their favorite thing about the Douglas County Fair. Emily Krysztof gave the treasurer’s report. Allie Sherger presented a safety tip on using sunblock and the hazards of not using it. She also gave a presentation on showing her cat. Nick Patrick showed members how to set off a rocket. Brianna Krysztof reminded members that she needed their pictures for the historian’s book. The members had a water balloon throwing contest for recreation.

Nominations were presented for officer elections in September.

The next meeting will be Sept. 7 at Ives Chapel United Methodist Church in Baldwin.

¢ The Stull Busy Beavers 4-H Club met Aug. 8. The meeting was called to order by Josh Lesser.

The club elected new officers. They are: Adam Lesser, president; Megan Barber, vice president; Tori Booth, secretary; Macy Wulfkuhle, treasurer; Wyatt Schumann, parliamentarian; Dylan Schumann, reporter; Kyle Johnston, historian; Samantha Mathews, recreation leader; Kelsey Wulfkuhle, song leader; and Megan Barber and Adam Lesser, council representatives.

The new junior officers are: Ashley Lesser, president; Mason Durkes, vice president; Taylor Springer, secretary; and Jason Wulfkuhle, treasurer.

The newly-elected officers will begin their duties in October.

Members were reminded that the deadline for record books is Oct. 1.

A parent meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The club will have a booth at the project fair from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept.12 at Stull United Methodist Church.
