You might have heard the saying, "for whom the bell tolls, time marches on."

Well, that time must've felt like an eternity early this morning for west Lawrence residents awakened after a lightning strike at Corpus Christi Catholic Church triggered a surprise bell concert.

The Rev. Mick Mulvany, pastor, says he arrived at the church around 4 a.m. after a police request to shut off the church bells.

Mulvany estimates they tolled for about an hour -- and adds the lightning caused no damage to the church.

You must be an argumentative and ill-tempered little fellow, responding in such a way to my innocuous post. Okay, bozo, I'll play along.

From your post "Catholics aren't advocates of intelligent design." Do you know all of them? Prove it.

In any event, Catholics are not advocates of the FSM, which might explain his prank.

    Have a nice day.
