SAN ANTONIO ? Ruth Riley scored 20 points, including the game-winning basket with one second left, leading the Detroit Shock over the San Antonio Silver Stars, 60-59, Saturday night.

Shannon Johnson’s turnaround shot for San Antonio near the three-point line bounced off the back of the rim as the buzzer sounded, giving the Shock (14-14) their fourth straight victory. Detroit is one-half game behind Washington for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Riley’s game-winner came when she rebounded Katie Smith’s missed shot on a drive into the lane with three seconds left.
