Chicago Board of Trade

Grain futures advanced Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while soybean futures retreated. Wheat for September delivery rose 2 3/4 cents to $3.26 1/4 a bushel; September corn rose 2 cents to $2.25 a bushel; September oats rose 1 1/4 cent to $1.61 a bushel; September soybeans fell 2 1/2 cents to $6.43 1/4 a bushel. Beef futures increased on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, while pork futures remained unchanged. October live cattle rose .32 cent to 81.12 cents a pound; September feeder cattle rose .67 cent to $1.0777 a pound; October lean hogs remained unchanged at 58.15 cents a pound.
