Glass winding down

With just two events remaining in the PBA Senior Tour, Lawrence’s Bob Glass remains in the hunt for Player of the Year.

Glass ranks first in points, second in earnings and second in average going into this week’s Lake County Open in Hammond, Ind.

Glass, a two-time Player of the Year award winner, has won $34,500 this year, trailing only Tom Baker, who has pocketed $38,350.

Glass also trails Baker in the race for best average, 226.17 to 222.95. In the points race, however, Glass leads Baker, 161,773 to 156,891.

The Lake County Open will begin today with qualifying and end with Thursday’s match play. The 2005 Tour will conclude next week with the Jackson (Mich.) Open.
