Mike Cobb, a 6-0, 275-pound senior from Free State High, will start at one offensive tackle and Jeremiah Gress, another former Firebird, will start at middle linebacker. Gress, a senior, is also a team captain.

Clayton Kellerman, a 5-10, 245-pound sophomore from Lawrence High, is listed as BU's third-string center. Also on the roster are Free State products Danny Pike, Jeremy Bustamante and Anthony King, and former Lion Tyrone Rayton.

BU coach Mike Grossner credits defensive coordinator Jason Thoren, a former LHS and Kansas University player, for recruiting all the Lawrence products.

"He's done a great job," Grossner said. "They all know who Jason Thoren is, so he's had an impact on recruiting."
