U.S. Rep. Jim Ryun, R-Kan., a three-time Olympian and former world-class miler, will speak briefly Monday morning at a session of the Red Dog's Dog Days workout program.
Ryun will be the featured speaker at the 6 a.m. Monday workout session at Kansas University's Memorial Stadium.
"It's not political," said Eric Harr, an aide to the congressman.
Ryun will speak for about five minutes on what it takes to succeed as an athlete and will offer training tips, Harr said.
Ryun, who represents western Lawrence and most of eastern Kansas, is a KU graduate.

Who cares what Jim "Runyun" Ryun does or says? He does not really represent the views of typical Lawrence resident. He should move to Western Kansas--land of the pinhead Republicans--where he would "fit in" better.
