To the editor:
I'm glad to see that the car wash to benefit the homeless was shut down, as I'm sure it was causing grave danger to countless citizens. I can rest easy knowing there will never be a shortage of busybodies eager to throw their weight around. I might suggest a simple, "You're actually supposed to get a permit for this, just a heads up for next time," would have been sufficient in this instance. Not only shut the thing down, but then to issue a citation? Give me a break.
By the way, I never requested a permit for my daughter's lemonade stand she sets up on the corner. Let me know how much I owe, and if I'm facing any jail time.

You know, the downtown diners are violating this ordinance every morning by hosing down thier outdoor areas. Since there is no way of knowing what type of toxins may be in that water, then they should not be allowed. But the commission is rather selective on what laws apply, and they are in a direct correlation between that, and how much money they make.
