Kansas University’s men’s golf team will take a No. 35 national ranking into the Big 12 Conference tournament today through Sunday at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Trinity, Texas.

This is the first time Whispering Pines has played host to a conference championship. Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson was the site seven times (1997-2002, 2004). The 2003 meet was at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.

Texas is the three-time defending league champion. UT’s Jason Hartwick was the 2004 medalist after shooting a 204.
