KU 9th at Big 12 meet

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team finished in ninth place Sunday at the Big 12 Conference Championships after carding a 310, its best round of the tournament.

The Jayhawks finished with a three-day total of 952 on the University of Texas G.C.; Oklahoma State won with 900, and Texas finished second with a 901.

KU junior Chelsey Pryor led the Jayhawks with a 235 to tie for 26th. She was followed by sophomore Amanda Costner (238, tied for 33rd), junior Meredith Winkelmann (244, 46th), freshman Annie Giangrosso (249, 54th) and sophomore Jill Womble (250, 55th).

Kansas will wait to hear whether it qualified for regionals. The Central Regionals are May 5-7 in Lubbock, Texas.
