Junction City ? Charles Guard (4-0) placed first at No. 2 singles on Saturday at the Junction City Invitational, and the Firebirds placed second in the eight-team event. Also, Keith Pipkin (3-1) placed third at No. 1 singles, Jack Hull and Drew Schelar (3-1) were third at No. 2 doubles, and Nick Martinez and Zack Morgenstern (1-2) did not place at No. 1 doubles. Free State will travel Saturday to Gardner-Edgerton.
