The Journal-World is looking for photos — but not just any old posed pictures. We want to see you at fraternity and social parties, gatherings, benefit fund-raisers — any event where you, your friends and colleagues might gather.

Diane Ensminger, executive director of the Ballard Community Center, receives a 00 check from Gregory Divilbiss, worshipful master for Lawrence Masonic Lodge 6, while Charles Blaser, director of development for the Ballard Center, looks on. The Masonic Lodge donated the money, which it raised during garage sales, March 6 at the Ballard Center.

Evan Hunter, a sophomore, played the trumpet during the Lawrence Arts Center's 2005 Honor Recital on March 13. Hunter, a student of Stephen Leisring, performed a piece by Alexander Goedicke.

John Bond, pianist, and Richard Angeletti, attend the Lawrence Arts Center's 2005 Honor Recital on March 13. Bond, a sophomore and student of Christopher Hepp, performed a piece by Beethoven. Angeletti was a member of the honor recital committee.

Elaine Houston, immunization program coordinator for the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, was the guest of honor at a retirement reception in March. Houston had been with the health department for more than 25 years.
